Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Regulatory Analyst within the Customer Programs & Solutions group, based in Akron, Ohio. The role focuses on developing and advancing customer programs tied to electrification, DER, EV infrastructure, and grid modernization, with emphasis on regulatory strategy and external engagement.

You will support testimony preparation, economic evaluations, and program funding strategies while collaborating across legal, rates, engineering, and finance teams to help shape

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Public Policy, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of regulatory, energy, utility, or program development experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
• Experience managing cross‑functional, matrixed teams across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and regulatory approval of customer programs related to electrification, DER, EV infrastructure, DR, VPP, and emerging technologies.
• Provide analytical leadership for regulatory filings, including testimony, exhibits, and workpapers.
• Support cost/benefit analyses and translate results into regulatory narratives for filings and stakeholder engagement.
