Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Evaluation, Measurement, and Verification (EM&V) function within the Energy Efficiency Department. The role focuses on providing analytical support for EM&V processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving program performance improvements across the FirstEnergy footprint.

Qualifications

• Two- or four-year degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering Technology, or related discipline, with minimum 4 years of professional work experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 7 years related professional work experience required.
• Experience engaging with regulatory agencies or commissions.
• Experience leading teams and managing multiple projects.
• Experience with EE, DR, or DSM programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support independent evaluation contractors for impact, process, and net-to-gross evaluations.
• Coordinate between implementation and evaluation teams to collect and analyze data for EM&V requirements.
• Review evaluation documents for technical merit and inform program planning.
• Identify potential evaluation impacts to mitigate compliance risk and improve performance.
• Lead or participate in meetings focused on evaluation activities and stakeholder projects.
• Assist in developing regulatory filings, evaluation reports, and stakeholder presentations.
• Build relationships with regulators and evaluators to promote EM&V policies.
• Develop knowledge on industry trends and technologies related to EE and electrification.
• Perform contract management activities including invoice reviews and forecasting.
