Job summary

You will interpret laws, partner with internal teams, and help communicate our compliance externally as Google builds innovative products for users worldwide.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience in global privacy, regulatory affairs, and cross-functional collaboration within technology companies.

Qualifications

• J.D. or equivalent degree and bar admission in the relevant US state.
• At least 7 years of legal, regulatory, or corporate compliance experience.
• 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
• Experience advising on global privacy and data protection laws.

Responsibilities

• Interpret laws and other compliance obligations and advise Compliance, Business, Product, and Engineering teams on requirements.
• Provide legal advice on compliance programs and policies to help mitigate risk.
• Manage government and regulator discussions, negotiations, and disclosures on compliance readiness efforts.
