Job summary

Google’s Cloud Networking and Infrastructure Legal team seeks a seasoned attorney to shape regulatory strategy for AI hardware, networking products, and international expansion. You will advise on global compliance, data privacy, licensing, and security issues, partnering with product and business teams.

This role emphasizes collaboration with executives and clients, navigating complex policy matters while aligning with company policies. Competitive compensation includes bonus and equity.

Qualifications

• JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in the state of the position.
• 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
• Experience advising on product compliance issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance to clients as they develop novel products, services and features, taking into account compliance/regulatory issues, company policy, and business needs.
• Help solve policy, AI, privacy, intellectual property, licensing and security issues.
• Advise on global legal and regulatory compliance issues that arise during international expansion or product launch, or because of regulatory change.
• Support commercial legal and sales teams on complex, high-value agreement negotiations.
