Qualifications

  • Must have a law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Iowa or able to obtain Iowa licensure within one year.
  • Six years of legal experience required.
  • Experience in a regulated industry or law firm is a plus.
  • Strong communication, judgment, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle heavy workload.

Responsibilities

  • Representation before regulatory agencies, including preparation of written materials and appearances at hearings or other meetings.
  • Legal compliance and preventive law representation and training.
  • Contract drafting, review and negotiations.
  • Dispute avoidance counseling, dispute and litigation management, outside counsel management.
  • Analysis of business opportunities.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
