About the Role

The RN will coordinate patient care using the Parkland nursing model, assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient responses. The role involves delegating interventions, ensuring safe transitions through healthcare encounters, and collaborating with healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care in accordance with Texas Nurse Practice Act and hospital standards.
• Assess, consult, and coordinate care with team members.
• Exercise independent judgment and demonstrate effective communication skills.
• Serve as Charge Nurse on rotation, preceptor, and trainer for staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in community outreach activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license or valid permit.
• At least two years of recent nursing experience in OB/GYN units.
• Preferred: Family planning, antepartum, postpartum, or L&D experience.

Certifications

• Current BLS certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network.
• Certifications must be valid for more than 30 days from start date.
