Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a Sr Analyst, Retail, Regional Finance in Deerfield, IL. You will lead monthly financial analysis and reporting for Regional Administration and Finance, delivering insights to drive profitability and strategic decisions.

You will partner with leadership to strengthen controls, support budgeting and forecasting, and participate in the month-end close process. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 6+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• At least 6+ years of related experience in financial analysis.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy and rigor.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Familiarity with accounting and internal controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial analysis, reporting packages, and business commentary for Regional Administration and Finance leadership.
• Deliver accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting to Regional, Divisional, Branch, and Corporate stakeholders.
• Provide financial and operational analysis to support strategic decision-making and business objectives.
• Partner with leadership to improve operating performance, profitability, and financial results.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX requirements and company policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, quarterly reviews, and monthly management narratives.
• Participate in the month-end close process, including journal entries and financial statement review.
• Identify opportunities to improve regional profitability and business performance.
• Support acquisition integration activities and related financial analysis.
• Lead financial training sessions for Regional and Branch personnel.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to enhance financial processes.
• Support regional capital planning and investment prioritization.
• Conduct capital project evaluations and discounted cash flow analyses.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
