Job summary

South Florida Regional Planning Council is seeking a Senior/Principal Planner to lead multi-disciplinary planning studies across transportation, land use, and economic development. The role emphasizes grant administration, data analysis, and client coordination for local governments.

Qualifications

• Senior level requires 2 years with a Master’s degree or 6 years with a Bachelor’s.
• Principal level requires 5 years with a Master’s or 8 years with a Bachelor’s.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and ability to travel out-of-town occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and management of grant applications and funded projects.
• Conduct and oversee data analysis for planning projects (transportation, land use, public policy).
• Provide technical assistance to local governments and stakeholders.
• Represent the Council in public forums, meetings, and work groups.
• Pursue partnerships with agencies to advance regional planning initiatives.
