Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Sr. Regional Design Manager to join its global design team.

You will lead multidisciplinary design teams across data center projects, influencing technical decisions and ensuring quality within time and budget. You’ll work with internal stakeholders and external consultants, drive design procedures, and mentor junior engineers while advancing scalable, energy-efficient solutions worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience with design development, design change management, and permitting (AHJs) lifecycle.
• Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
• Ability to influence internal stakeholders and external consultants to address program-wide design changes.
• Strong collaboration across mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of discipline leads to deliver quality and globally consistent DC designs within budget and schedule.
• Influence internal stakeholders, operations teams, and external consultants on design changes.
• Manage escalations and multi-disciplinary design decisions.
• Drive speed, quality, and simplification by standardizing and automating where possible.
• Create and maintain best-practice documentation and share learnings globally.
• Mentor team members on design standards and performance.
