Job summary

Trident Seafoods Corporation is seeking a Refrigeration Operator II to maintain industrial refrigeration systems and support QA/QC in a fast-paced Alaska plant. You will operate and service equipment such as plate, blast, and spiral freezers, and keep critical temperatures within spec.

Ideal candidates have 3–6+ years in industrial refrigeration, an HS diploma or equivalent, and are prepared for long shifts on a 24-hour production schedule; safety training and compliance are integral parts of

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of industrial or commercial refrigeration experience (Freon or Ammonia).
• HS Diploma or equivalent, or training in a refrigeration program.
• Preferred: RETA CARO certification or equivalent (within 1 year).
• EPA Section 608 is optional but not required.
• HAZWOPER 24-hour certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate refrigeration systems following plant procedures.
• Perform scheduled mechanical integrity inspections and routine maintenance.
• Ensure daily system logs are completed and accurate.
• Coordinate with contractors or technicians for repairs.
• Manage pre/post season parts and supply inventories.
• Train Operator I and Refrigeration Assistants on daily tasks.
• Review service bulletins and system schematics for fixes.
• Other duties as assigned.
