Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to join our local store team in Norwalk, CT. You will repair and oversee Walmart refrigeration HVAC systems, using hand, digital, and power tools while following safety guidelines.

The role requires extensive experience, EPA refrigerant handling certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Competitive compensation and sign-on bonuses are available at select locations.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large-Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling as Type I/II or Universal.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Use work orders to document repair activities and support Stores.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities and diagnose issues with HVAC equipment.
• Complete required safety training for equipment operation.
• Follow OSHA and EPA guidelines per Walmart policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights regularly.
