Job summary

Walmart in Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to join our local stores' Refrigeration HVAC team. You will maintain and repair Walmart facility Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets, using hand tools, digital tools, and test equipment to complete jobs.

Expect to oversee repair activities, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA guidelines while working at height and lifting up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• EPA Type I/Type II or Universal Certification for Refrigerant handling.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Option 1: 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• Option 2: 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
• 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area or 2 years’ Walmart store experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no DUI/DWI/OUI convictions in last 5 years.
• No major traffic violations in last 3 years.
• No preventable accidents in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure OSHA/EPA regulations are followed per Walmart safety policy and guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights frequently.
