Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking an Experienced Refrigeration Engineer for our Food & Beverage group. The role is full-time and located at one of several offices including Madison or West Allis, WI; St. Louis, MO; Denver, CO; Bloomington, MN; or other sites as needed.

Responsibilities include site surveys and designing ammonia refrigeration systems for process cooling and building loads. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, at least six years of experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university and at least six years of relevant experience.
• PE license is also strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducting job-site surveys
• Calculating refrigeration requirements for process cooling and building loads
• Assisting in the development of project documentation including drawings, P&IDs, equipment schedules, details, specifications, and scope of work
• Selecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systems
• Coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
