Job summary

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a refrigeration engineer for a full‑time position in Wisconsin. The role involves surveys, refrigeration system design, documentation, and equipment selection for new and existing systems.

Responsibilities include calculating refrigeration requirements for process cooling and building loads, developing P&IDs, schedules, and specifications, and coordinating with suppliers and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• At least five years of relevant mechanical experience
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states

Responsibilities

• Conduct job-site surveys
• Calculate refrigeration requirements for process cooling and building loads
• Assist in developing project documentation including drawings, P&ID's, equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.
• Select and apply system equipment to new and existing systems
• Coordinate technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
• Some travel will be required
