ColonialWebb Contractors Company in Chesapeake, VA, seeks a senior Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to lead the design of cold storage and food processing systems. You will develop refrigeration flow diagrams, calculations, and construction documents, sizing equipment, and selecting valves and controls.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering degree required.
• PE license preferred; EIT certification a plus.
• 8+ years of industrial refrigeration engineering and design experience.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, thermodynamics, piping, controls, and industry codes.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of industrial refrigeration systems for cold storage, food distribution, and processing facilities.
• Develop and review refrigeration flow diagrams, plans, specs, and construction documents.
• Perform refrigeration load calculations and equipment sizing analyses.
• Select equipment, piping, valves, and controls for complex projects.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and design oversight to engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and project teams throughout execution.

What We Are Looking For:
