Job summary

West Liberty Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Utilities Lead Mechanic to maintain and repair ammonia refrigeration and associated boiler and HVAC equipment in Bolingbrook, IL. You will lead a team, perform PMs, troubleshoot systems, and ensure safety compliance in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The role requires reading P&ID drawings, passing respirator fit tests, and collaborating with contractors. A 1st shift with competitive hourly pay and a $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a must.
• Must read and interpret P&ID drawings.
• Must pass respirator fit test as part of HAZMAT team.
• Preferred CMMS, L2L, and Google Suite experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and repairs on ammonia refrigeration equipment and related systems.
• Maintain water treatment system and chemicals; replace valves and motors as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and control issues and document activities.
• Work with contractors and plant staff ensuring safety policies are followed.
• Write SOPs, pump-down and LOTO procedures and support calibration activities.
