Job summary

West Liberty Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Utilities Mechanic to maintain, operate, inspect and repair ammonia refrigeration equipment, boiler systems, HVAC equipment and related facilities. The role supports the Wastewater area and requires working on a 2-2-3 night shift with a $1.50 per hour shift premium.

Responsibilities include PMs, valve and pump work, system troubleshooting, data logging, and coordination with contractors to meet safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is required.
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings.
• Must pass respirator fit test as part of HAZMAT team participation.
• Experience with CMMS and Google Suite is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and repairs on ammonia refrigeration equipment and related systems.
• Maintain water treatment and chemical systems for refrigeration utilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and write SOPs and maintenance procedures.
• Work with contractors and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Assist in Wastewater Treatment area and support PSM compliance.
