Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a Machinery & Mechanical Superintendent at the Carson, CA refinery. The role leads a team responsible for routine maintenance of rotating and fixed equipment, driving improvements in availability and reliability, and overseeing the machine shop and craft personnel.

The schedule runs Monday–Thursday with 10-hour days and after-hours support as needed. Responsibilities include budget oversight, KPI reviews, and ensuring adherence to MPC standards and OEM

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 8+ years in maintenance of rotating equipment or rotating equipment engineering in refinery/petrochemical settings.
• Experience in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsabilités

• Lead a team of supervisors for routine maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment.
• Promote safe work practices and audit areas for adherence.
• Ensure safety and environmental notifications are planned and executed per MPC guidelines.
• Manage weekly maintenance scheduling and budget discussions with refinery leadership.
• Drive root-cause analysis to improve reliability and equipment life.
