Job summary

HF Sinclair in Kansas seeks an experienced Inspector for the refinery Inspection Department. You will conduct moderately complex inspections, certify equipment readiness where applicable, and coordinate with other departments to keep plant operations efficient.

The role requires at least five years of inspection experience and a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. You will lead or support turnaround projects and supervise contractors as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires at least five years of inspection experience in related industry.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment including atmospheric storage tanks, pressure vessels, piping, boilers, heaters, and relief valves as applicable.
• Generate inspection memos and deficiency reports and recommend repairs.
• Lead or direct work of others when needed; coordinate with contractors.
• Approve work of contracted inspections and NDE services; supervise safety and quality.
• Maintain historical data to track corrosion rates and inspection frequency.
• Coordinate turnaround support activities for tank work as assigned.
• Provide guidance to less experienced Inspectors.
