Job summary

Inversion Space Company is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Reentry to lead new product introduction manufacturing and integration across multiple reentry vehicle programs. You will bridge design and flight hardware, setting assembly standards and workflows for primary structures, TPS, and complex interfaces.

You will autonomously solve high-complexity assembly challenges, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with the centralized production team to ensure safe, repeatable builds on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing, hardware integration, or vehicle-level build environments.
• Experience drafting assembly procedures and managing build configurations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize assembly and integration processes for new product introductions.
• Author and approve detailed manufacturing work instructions and checklists.
• Design and qualify vehicle integration tooling and ground support equipment.
• Lead MRB disposition, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate part deliveries and subassembly integration with internal teams.
• Establish standard practices for precision joints, fasteners, and interfaces.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to uphold safety and quality standards.
