Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Reefer Technician in Colton, CA to service, diagnose, and repair refrigerated transport equipment and fleet vehicles.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, with opportunities for growth and advancement in a stable, safety-focused workplace. You will use OEM software to diagnose codes, read wiring diagrams, perform electrical diagnostics with a multimeter, and program microprocessors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must bring toolbox and required tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair minor and major issues of refrigeration units and diagnose problems using OEM software and wiring diagrams.
• Read refrigerant unit wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Use multi-meter for electrical diagnostics and program microprocessors.
• Properly use reclaiming machine to recover and recycle refrigerant; solder joints and tubes as needed.
• Service truck systems – cooling, fuel, drive train, brakes, suspension.
• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Repair ABS systems, APU units, and trailer structures.
• Provide roadside service, tire repairs, and equipment cleaning.
