Job summary

ExxonMobil seeks a Senior Red Team Operator to lead offensive security efforts, simulating real-world cyber threats and strengthening defenses. You will perform advanced penetration tests, adversary emulation, and collaborate with Blue Teams to improve detection and response capabilities.

The role requires strong cloud security, scripting skills, and experience guiding security initiatives across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years in offensive security, red teaming, or penetration testing.
• Demonstrated proficiency in penetration testing tools.
• Deep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and threat actor TTPs.
• 3+ years experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated security controls.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, PowerShell, C/C++, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute red team engagements simulating advanced threats.
• Perform detailed risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
• Document findings and deliver technical and executive-level reports with remediation strategies.
• Develop and customize tools to evade detection by AV, EDR, and other security technologies.
• Script automation for testing procedures using Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
• Lead small red teams and manage engagement delivery.
• Collaborate with Blue Teams to improve detection and response capabilities.
• Educate stakeholders on threat tactics and mitigation strategies.
