Job summary

Hitachi Vantara is seeking a Senior Red Team Engineer to lead advanced security assessments across web applications, APIs, network architecture, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems from a remote US base. You will identify vulnerabilities, validate controls, and deliver actionable security recommendations.

This role combines hands-on testing, red team activities, vulnerability research, and custom tool development while mentoring others and driving security-by-design practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of information security experience, including 4+ years in penetration testing.
• Proven pentest expertise across web apps, APIs, networks, cloud, and enterprise infra.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, attack frameworks and Burp Suite.
• OWASP Top 10 understanding; cloud security assessments in AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Scripting or development skills for automation (Python/PowerShell/Ruby).
• Active Directory security, privilege escalation, lateral movement, post-exploitation.
• Docker/Kubernetes experience; excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Certifications such as OSCP/OSCE/GPEN/GWAPT/GXPN/GIAC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced security assessments across web apps, APIs, networks and cloud.
• Identify vulnerabilities, validate controls, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Perform hands-on pentesting, red team activities, and tool development.
