Job summary

Target Cybersecurity in the United States is seeking a Lead Engineer - Red Team to drive adversary emulation operations, design objectives, and coordinate across security teams. You will influence tooling, playbooks, and outcomes with a focus on real-world threat emulation.

As a senior operator, you will mentor junior staff, write proof-of-concept tooling, and present findings clearly to stakeholders while advancing tooling and processes.

Qualifications

• Four years minimum experience in offensive security and/or defensive security.
• Strong offensive security knowledge.
• Understanding of the impact of Red Team work on an organization and its customers.
• Prioritizes process improvement.
• Seeks cross-functional collaboration opportunities.
• Clear and respectful communication of technical issues in a training or mentorship setting.
• Resolves complex technical issues with minimal assistance.
• Stays current on relevant technologies with self-directed learning.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute adversary emulation operations.
• Conduct research into real-world threat tactics and develop proof-of-concept tools.
• Bypass preventative and detective security controls to achieve objectives.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security Incident Response and other stakeholders to identify improvements.
• Present findings and operational work to groups in a clear, professional manner.
• Read and write code to accomplish red team goals.
• Manage tools and workflows in Github/JIRA to support operations.
• Mentor and train junior operators to raise team capabilities.
