Our client, a YC S25 company building Financial Services Super Intelligence in partnership with frontier AI labs, is looking for a Senior Recruiter with 2-5 years of experience to build and own their expert sourcing engine, finding and activating top finance professionals (investment banking, private equity, hedge funds) into their expert network. As the first recruiter on the team, you'll directly drive company growth and revenue through this work.
What you'll be doing:
- Own the full expert pipeline end-to-end: outbound sourcing, inbound campaigns, referral programs, qualification, and conversion through activation
- Run multi-channel growth campaigns at scale (LinkedIn outreach, alumni networks, MBA programs, campus recruiting, cold outreach) and A/B test to find what works
- Build and manage sourcing systems and tooling (automation, campaign sending, JD testing) independently with minimal direction
- Track and own funnel metrics, conversion rates, and retention data to continuously optimize sourcing performance
- Partner with Strategic Project Leads to translate upcoming customer work into proactive sourcing plans by domain and seniority
Key Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, growth, or lead generation, with direct experience sourcing finance professionals (IB, PE, hedge funds)
- Experience managing multiple sourcing channels simultaneously and running campaigns at scale (not just 1:1 recruiting)
- Scrappy, self-directed builder who can spin up new channels, tools, and processes without being told what to do
- Data fluency: comfortable owning funnel metrics, pulling your own numbers, and making data-driven decisions
- Ability to independently source and use campaign sending and LinkedIn automation vendors
- Ability to work fully in-person on-site in San Francisco, CA (5 days/week; open to relocation)
Nice to Have:
- Experience at finance-based, finance-adjacent, or banking-style startups
- Marketing and copywriting skills (creating content, designing top-of-funnel recruiting copy)
Fee: 14% - Guarantee 90 days
Job Reference: V68XRV96
Visa sponsorship: Open to visa transfers (e.g. OPT, H1B transfers)
Benefits: Full healthcare coverage, 401k match, and relocation support
Salary & equity offered.
Recruiting advice: Look for candidates who've been a founding or early recruiter at a startup (especially fintech or finance-adjacent). They want someone who already speaks the language of funnel metrics, A/B testing outreach, and spinning up referral programs, not someone who needs to be taught these things. Big-tech recruiting experience (Meta, Google, etc.) is a strong signal if paired with startup or finance exposure. A candidate with only 2-4 years at a large institution who then moved to a scrappy startup is the sweet spot; don't over-index on total years of experience.
