Job summary

Kustom is seeking a Reconstruction Project Director to lead end-to-end reconstruction projects with full accountability for financial performance, client experience, and outcomes. You will own scope, budget, margin, and client communication, partnering with Superintendents to ensure alignment with approved scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities include developing scopes and estimates, managing budgets and change orders, forecasting WIP, and ensuring closeout.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in construction and/or restoration project leadership.
• Experience managing project financials and customer relationships.
• Experience working with insurance carriers and adjusters preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop, finalize, and manage scopes of work and estimates, including Xactimate documentation
• Own project budgets, margin performance, forecasting, and cost controls
• Review and approve change orders, supplements, and pricing adjustments
• Participate in Work-in-Progress (WIP) reviews and revenue forecasting
• Ensure projects are prepared for final invoicing and successful closeout
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, carriers, and key stakeholders
• Set and manage customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead issue resolution and client escalations as needed
