Job summary

CarMax Palmdale is seeking a Sr. Reconditioning Associate I to perform Paintless Dent Repair and related reconditioning tasks on used, new, and customer vehicles.

You will combine technical skill with attention to detail, maintain 5S workplace standards, and support other reconditioning roles as needed. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, reading and recording data accurately, and complying with EH&S requirements.

Qualifications

• Completion of workstation certifications across reconditioning areas.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and record data accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied conditions including outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform body repairs, including masking, sanding, and grinding to restore vehicle surfaces.
• Apply primer and refinish paint, ensuring finishes and defect corrections.
• Remove and replace parts as needed for cosmetic and structural integrity.
• Repair plastic and substrates to meet CarMax quality standards.
• Maintain and repair specialized equipment while ensuring proper cleaning and functionality.
• Uphold CarMax Paint Standards and 5S workplace organization; deliver customer service to internal and external customers.
• Follow EH&S requirements and maintain a clean work area.
