Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Sr. Reconditioning Associate to ensure vehicles meet quality standards in a climate-controlled shop. You will perform paint prep, masking, and refinishing while assisting other reconditioning roles as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data accurately.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must use CarMax-provided respiratory protection and be clean-shaven for respirator use.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert body repairs, including masking, sanding, and grinding.
• Apply primer and refinish paint surfaces to CarMax standards.
• Remove and replace parts for cosmetic and structural integrity.
• Repair plastic and substrate damage with precision.
• Conduct post-paint refinishing and defect correction; maintain specialized equipment.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external partners.
• Follow EH&S requirements and keep a clean, orderly work area.
