Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Receiving Inspector 3 in Salt Lake City, UT. You will inspect parts and materials, verify dimensions against drawings, and document results to ensure conformance with specifications.

The role requires interpreting engineer drawings, lifting up to 30 lbs, and teamwork. Eligible candidates include U.S. citizens with the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance; prior inspection tools and CMM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 4 years of inspection experience or related fields.
• Experience with inspection tools.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Inspects purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements.
• Inspects for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
• Visually inspects for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits.
• Verifies specifications using purchase orders, blueprints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists.
• Makes pass/fail decisions on inspected goods.
• Maintains records of results.
