Persistent Systems is seeking a Senior Real-time Streaming Architect to lead the architecture, design, and operations of our real-time data platform. You will stay hands-on in critical decisions while guiding engineering teams toward high-quality, scalable streaming solutions.

Requirements include 8+ years of experience, strong Java, AWS, Spring, and Kafka Streaming expertise, and a track record of delivering production-grade streaming systems in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing real-time streaming platforms in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with production streaming systems at scale.
• Fluency in Java and production-grade code.
• Knowledge of streaming patterns: partitioning, stateful processing, fault-tolerance.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and operational stewardship of real-time streaming and data platform capabilities.
• Write and review high-quality production code for core platform components.
• Mentor and lead engineering teams towards high standards of delivery and reliability.
• Own design and operation of low-latency streaming solutions with strong correctness guarantees.
• Run streaming platforms at scale with focus on health, capacity, and incident response.
• Collaborate with business, product, architecture, and control to shape roadmaps.
