Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a software engineer to own production interfaces for the Prism Mapping system. You will work with signal/algorithm teams to optimize latency and determinism, and partner with UI engineers to ensure accurate map displays.

You will lead end-to-end features and contribute to architecture and best practices. The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience and strong Python/C++ production software skills in a Linux, Docker, and CI/CD environment, with a track record of shipping

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant experience (see requirements).
• Experience with real-time data pipelines in production.
• Strong Python and/or C++ production software delivery experience.
• Proficiency with Linux, networking, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Own production interfaces between signals/algorithms and Prism Mapping system.
• Collaborate with algorithm developers to optimize latency, memory, and determinism.
• Partner with visualization/UI engineers to ensure accurate map display.
• Own features and subsystems end-to-end.
• Define technical approach for complex problems with limited supervision.
• Lead development across design, implementation, integration, and support.
• Contribute to software architecture and engineering practices.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews and mentoring.
• Collaborate across software, systems, hardware, and quality in regulated environments.
• Communicate tradeoffs and recommendations clearly to team and stakeholders.
