Job summary

Divergent is hiring a Software Architect to lead the Robotics & AI Software Team, defining system-level designs for real-time robotics, planning/optimization, and generative AI. You will own multithreaded C++ and Python architectures, GUI-driven operator interfaces, and scalable CI/CD pipelines for production deployment.

We seek a leader with strong experience in ROS/ROS2, MoveIt, and AI/agent frameworks, capable of guiding cross-functional teams through end-to-end development and integration

Qualifications

• 5+ years of architecture/design experience.
• Expert proficiency in modern C++ and Python; real-time, performance-sensitive design.
• End-to-end GUI experience for monitoring, diagnostics, and control.
• CI/CD, containerization, and production-grade delivery.
• Strong Git, documentation, and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own system architecture for multithreaded C++ and Python across robotics control, AI, and optimization pipelines.
• Architect end-to-end solutions from design through production deployment: operator GUIs, diagnostics, monitoring, simulation.
• Design scalable, reliable integrations with ROS/ROS2, sensors, and manufacturing systems.
• Define architecture for planning/optimization and generative AI/agentic systems.
• Establish CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), build systems (CMake), testing, and quality practices across teams.
• Lead technical design, reviews, and mentoring; collaborate cross-functionally with controls, electrical, mechanical, systems, data, and product.
• Drive commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement; support production hardware integration.
