Job summary

Neros is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to build the onboard software platform for its autonomy stack. You will own runtime/middleware integration, real-time scheduling and latency accounting, and high-rate on-vehicle data logging for aircraft or ground robotics.

We seek 5+ years in production embedded or real-time software, with hands-on experience on physical vehicles, C++ on embedded Linux, and familiarity with ROS 2, DDS or equivalent middleware.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional embedded/real-time software experience.
• Delivered software onto a physical vehicle or embedded platform.
• Proficiency in modern C++ on embedded Linux; Python for tooling.
• Hands-on robotics or vehicle software runtime/middleware experience.
• Experience with IPC and message passing in ROS 2, DDS, Zenoh, LCM or equivalents.
• Real-time scheduling, latency analysis and end-to-end latency measurement.
• High-rate on-vehicle data logging with log integrity.
• Time synchronization across sensors and flight/compute hardware.
• Sensor drivers for cameras and inertial sensors (MIPI CSI-2, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the autonomy runtime and middleware integration layer.
• Own real-time scheduling and latency measurement on target hardware.
• Design and implement high-rate on-vehicle logging with ring buffers.
• Implement hardware time-stamping and synchronization across sensors and compute.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop benches and flight test operations.
