Neros Technologies in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to build the onboard software platform for our autonomy stack. You will work in the Autonomy Platform & Runtime team, handling runtime, middleware, real-time scheduling and data delivery for imagery and inertial streams.
The role requires 5+ years in production embedded/real-time software, expert C++ on embedded Linux, and Python for tooling. Knowledge of ROS 2, DDS, Zenoh, LCM is important.

What you will be doing
The Senior Platform Engineer builds the onboard software platform on which all Neros autonomy software runs. Working within the Autonomy Platform & Runtime team, this role is responsible hands-on for runtime and middleware integration, real-time scheduling and latency accounting, high-rate on-vehicle logging, hardware time-stamping and time synchronization, and the layer that delivers imagery and inertial data into the autonomy stack.

US Salary Range
$163,500 – $228,500 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.
