Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Colorado Springs is seeking a software engineer to join the C2BMC team. You will plan, design, develop, test, and integrate software for the Missile Defense System, working with Java and other languages on complex, mission-critical codebases.

The role requires an active final secret clearance, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with simulation frameworks, Agile practices, and containerized environments using Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Active final secret clearance is required.
• Experience programming in Java.
• Knowledge of software practices and coding standards.
• Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root cause, recommend and develop a solution.
• Experience developing and working with simulation frameworks for both test and training use cases.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, integration, and user-support for a large code baseline
• Follow specifications in order to develop or modify functionality within the code
• Assist with design, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation
• Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards and improve overall efficiency of the system
• Design, code, test and implement tools for automation
