Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer Lead for onsite work in McKinney, TX. You will own and guide real-time embedded software algorithms, coordinate across sensor and processing capabilities, and provide architectural leadership across multiple baselines.

You will lead agile software efforts, review technical work, and collaborate with senior engineers to maintain steady progress on Archerfish, Apache, and MQ-9 initiatives. U.S. citizenship and active clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in real-time embedded software for mission-critical systems.
• Experience with system-level integration and HW/SW coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical leader, delegating and reviewing work from junior engineers.
• Lead the development and validation of real-time algorithms for sensor and processing systems.
• Provide architectural guidance and CONOPS development across multiple baselines.
• Coordinate across Archerfish, Apache, and MQ-9 programs to ensure momentum.
