Jump Trading Group is seeking a senior software engineer to design and build high-performance real-time streaming systems powering trader-facing GUI applications. The role demands deep expertise in C++ and Rust, low-latency design, and ownership of architectural decisions.

You will work with trading, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure accurate, efficient delivery of market data tick-to-trade across collocated systems, while mentoring other engineers and elevating performance standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience building production software in performance-critical environments.
• Strong experience with C++ and Rust in low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• Proven ability to architect and implement real-time data pipelines and streaming systems.
• Experience with distributed, high-volume data such as market data or real-time streaming domains.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and build high-performance real-time streaming systems powering trader-facing GUI applications.
• Collaborate with trading, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure low-latency delivery of tick-to-trade data from collocated systems to latency-sensitive apps.
• Mentor engineers, help set technical direction, and raise the bar for performance and maintainability.
