Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Senior Algorithms and Simulation Software Engineer to design and implement state estimation and control algorithms used in SPARC real-time systems. You will write production-quality code, meet customer requirements, and collaborate across hardware and software testbeds.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 7+ years of related experience are required. The role involves building software infrastructure for HITL testbeds, modeling, and validation, plus

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in real-time state estimation and control algorithms.
Bachelor's degree in software or engineering.
Experience with Python and at least one real-time language.
Familiarity with Linux and IP/UDP networking.
Experience with HITL testbeds and model validation.

Responsibilities

Develop mission-critical state estimation and control algorithms.
Develop software infrastructure for Hardware-in-the-Loop and software-only testbeds.
Develop simulation models and infrastructure for real-time and high-fidelity offline simulations.
Develop offline data analysis tools.
Define and execute end-to-end test plans to validate SPARC control software.
