Job summary

Integrated Solutions for Systems (IS4S) in Auburn, AL or Aberdeen, MD is seeking a mid- to senior-level Engineer or Developer to advance Command and Control, Fires, and Electromagnetic Warfare capabilities for the DoD. This role involves real-time integration of complex systems within a DevSecOps framework, developing mission planning modules and ensuring secure, interoperable operations.

Candidates should have strong analytical and communication skills, experience with Unix/Linux, RESTful APIs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or related technical field.
• In pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or higher for part-time applicants.
• Experience with Mission Command or C2 systems, especially Fires and EW.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Docker for containerization and deployment.
• Proficiency with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing real-time applications.
• Unix/Linux familiarity, scripting, and command-line tools.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance.
• Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to a team of engineers and developers.
• Design architectures for advanced processors in military systems.
• Implement integrations across processors or systems.
• Develop real-time software and embedded solutions.
• Drive data flows across multiple interacting processes.
• Create web-based plugins for C2 components and visualization tools.
• Produce analyses and visualizations for customers and end users.
• Perform software and hardware-in-the-loop testing at local and government sites.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders via meetings and briefings.
