Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a senior Principal Software Engineer to lead the Mission Systems Software Team in Berkeley, MO. You will drive real-time OFP code development for the F‑15 Mission Computer, supervising engineers and guiding architecture choices across USAF and international customers.

The role requires extensive experience in real-time avionics software, team leadership, and a strong background in C/C++ and software lifecycle practices. This is a 100% onsite position at Berkeley, MO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 10+ years of professional experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada.
• 10+ years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test).
• 5+ years of experience with software development and testing tools (editors, compilers, linkers, simulations, CM tools, requirements management).
• Experience with lifecycle practices, agile methodology, and repositories, such as JIRA and Git.

Responsibilities

• Develops technical designs and implements Operational Flight Program (OFP) code solutions.
• Provides technical oversight and guidance of technical approaches and development of the F‑15 Mission Computing OFP code.
• Works collaboratively with the F‑15 Software Architects to develop preferred approaches to future Mission Computing architectures.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
