Job summary

Google San Francisco, CA invites a Senior Software Engineer for the Audio team in Google Beam. You will own end-to-end audio pipelines, design, implement, test and validate real-time processing within a high-performance, scalable system.

You will collaborate across teams, mentor others, and contribute to roadmap and innovation in 3D spatial audio, low-latency streaming, and embedded firmware aspects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in C++.
• Experience owning an audio subsystem from design through implementation and validation.
• Experience in development of realtime, resource-limited audio-processing pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Audio end-to-end signal-processing software pipeline ownership (design, implement, test/validate).
• Collaborate closely with audio performance validation (hardware and software).
• Contribute actively to planning and design for overall audio roadmap.
• Identify and drive forward cross-functional opportunities/interactions.
• Drive the product innovation and reliability forward (better quality, novel processing, bug triage/mitigation, etc).
