Job summary

Brightside Benefit, Inc. is seeking a Principal AI Architect to own the design and build of a real-time AI agent platform.

This senior, hands-on role will work with the engineering team to architect and ship production systems, including a live conversations layer and autonomous client interactions. You will lead the real-time architecture, governance of prompts, data models, and CRM integration, ensuring latency budgets and secure data handling in a regulated fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering or systems architecture.
• Production experience building real-time AI systems with sub-second latency.
• Hands-on experience with Bedrock, Lambda, and Kinesis.
• Multi-agent system design experience.
• Experience in regulated environments (fintech/financial services/healthcare).
• Comfortable operating in a small, fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the real-time multi-agent orchestration layer.
• Define agent routing, context sharing, and latency budgets across 18+ agents.
• Own the dual-mode agent architecture: human-assisted and autonomous.
• Govern LLM prompts, evaluation, and domain knowledge base structure.
• Define canonical data models and CRM sync layer.
• Oversee AWS Bedrock-native inference infrastructure and session state design.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to ship production systems.
