Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking a highly qualified real property specialist at the GS-14 level to perform complex appraisal, valuation analyses, and advisory functions within the Office of Facilities and Asset Management.

The position covers multiple locations including Washington, DC; Indianapolis, IN; Euless, TX; and Aliso Viejo, CA. It requires experience in appraisal management, market data analysis, and contract oversight.

Qualifications

• 1 year of specialized experience at GS-14 level or equivalent to include performing complex appraisals and valuation analyses for real property.
• Analyzing market data, comparable sales, income/expense information, and cost data to develop or validate property-value estimates.
• Managing appraisal or real estate service contracts, including scopes of work, contractor deliverables, monitoring performance, and handling issues.
• Providing valuation findings and real estate recommendations to senior leaders to support site acquisition, leasing, disposition, or portfolio decisions.
• Reviewing appraisal reports for compliance with professional standards and contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct, review, or manage appraisals and valuation analyses for complex real property.
• Analyze market data and cost data to support property-value estimates.
• Manage real estate contracts and monitor performance.
• Provide technical briefings to senior leaders on property-related recommendations.
