Job summary

PNC is seeking an Entity Finance Underwriter (Underwriter III) to perform in-depth credit underwriting for complex entity-level real estate transactions, including funds, homebuilders, REOCs, and subscription facilities.

You will evaluate debt structures, covenants, and risk ratings, ensuring alignment with policy and market standards. This is an in-office role within our Real Estate Banking group and involves independent judgment and mentorship of others.

Qualifications

• University / college degree with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience in entity finance underwriting.
• Knowledge of IRS Code Section 42 and 47, equity structures and market research.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive credit underwriting and portfolio management across complex entity-level real estate transactions.
• Assess borrower creditworthiness and repayment capacity; structure transactions accordingly.
• Identify key credit risks and develop mitigants.
• Provide recommendations on deal structure, sizing, and terms to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
• Interact with internal/external customers and supervise junior underwriters as needed.
