Job summary

Housing Trust Group, LLC (HTG) is seeking a Tax & Audit Manager to oversee partnership and corporate tax compliance, annual audits, and related cost-certifications. You will serve as the primary liaison with external CPA firms, syndicators, and lenders, managing deadlines across multiple entity returns and rolling cost-certification pipelines.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 5–10 years in tax/audit, and CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in tax compliance or audits.
• CPA designation preferred.
• LIHTC, IRS Form 8609, and K-1 experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with FHFC cost certification processes is a plus.
• Experience coordinating with external auditors is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage annual audits and tax returns for all HTG entities.
• Coordinate with outside CPA firms from draft review to e-file signature.
• Track extension deadlines for partnership and corporate returns.
• Lead FHFC cost certification audit processes and responses.
• Oversee cost-cert workflows and project budgets alignment.
• Collaborate with Development and Construction to gather data.
• Maintain organized electronic tax/audit files in SharePoint.
• Mentor Senior Accountants and Staff; support professional growth.
• Identify and implement process improvements across tax, audit, and cost-cert.
