Job summary

The Director of Risk Management at Allied Orion Group leads the development, implementation, and oversight of risk management strategies for a diversified portfolio of multi-family real estate assets in Houston, TX. This role identifies, assesses, mitigates, and monitors risks that could impact operations, financial performance, tenant safety, and regulatory compliance.

The position reports to the President of Operations and supervises the Risk Manager.

Qualifications

• Must have deep knowledge of real-estate risk exposures and enterprise risk frameworks.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and analytical skills are required.
• Experience in risk management, insurance, or compliance for 10+ years.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework aligned with goals and regulatory requirements.
• Identify operational, legal, financial, environmental, and reputational risks across the portfolio.
• Lead risk assessments, gap analyses, and policy development for risk management.
• Oversee insurance claims, renewals, site inspections, and documentation with lenders and providers.
