Job summary

Top Stack is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to support accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of real estate properties. You will manage day-to-day accounting activities, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting while partnering with property management and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of real estate accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and excellent analytical and communication skills. CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

5+ years of real estate or property accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience with real estate accounting or property management systems preferred.
CPA is a plus but not required.
Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Manage month-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Review property-level financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate with third-party property managers on financial reporting.
Manage intercompany transactions and account analysis.
Prepare financial analyses and reports as needed.
Support external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP.
Assist with accounting activities related to property acquisitions and dispositions.
