Job summary

BCLP is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to support its team across commercial real estate, acquisitions, real estate finance, leasing and development matters. The role reports to the Associate Director of Paralegals and Real Estate Team Lead, with attorneys guiding daily activities. Locations include Chicago, Denver, Irvine, New York and St.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.
• 6-10 years’ experience with RE transactional work including title and survey projects.
• Some travel could be required at times.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate documentation and closing of real estate transactions, including sales, purchases, leases, and mortgage financing.
• Review title commitments, title documents and surveys.
• Draft, edit and finalize transaction documents and closing materials.
• Ensure pre-closing prep and post-closing follow-up are completed timely.
• Perform legal research and electronic research using Westlaw/Lexis and online resources.
• Communicate with clients and organizations as directed by supervising attorneys.
• Enter time entries and manage filing and record-keeping for transactions.
• Support multiple large real estate transactions with attention to detail and organization.
