Job summary

DLA Piper LLP in Washington, DC, is seeking a Senior Paralegal - Real Estate to support attorneys on complex transactions, performing due diligence, drafting and coordinating documents. You will compile, analyze and summarize information and facilitate coordination between parties and counsel.

The role requires five years of paralegal experience, strong Word/Excel/Outlook skills, and the ability to manage data rooms and closing checklists in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal certificate preferred.
• Paralegal Certificate preferred.
• Minimum five years paralegal experience in a real estate practice area.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with due diligence required for real estate transactions.
• Orders, reviews and analyzes title commitments, recorded documents and surveys.
• Develops, monitors and updates closing checklists for real estate transactions.
• Prepares required documents and coordinates execution and delivery of documentation.
• Reviews leases and drafts lease amendments; manages data rooms and matter files.
• Supports attorneys both in DC office and remotely.
