Job summary

PIMCO is seeking a senior real estate investment professional to lead sourcing, underwriting, and execution of opportunities within PREO, REFLX, and related funds in Newport Beach.

The role requires 6–12 years of experience in real estate private equity, strong underwriting skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams end-to-end. MBA/CFA/CAIA preferred, you will collaborate with senior investment professionals and portfolio teams.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of relevant experience in real estate private equity.
• Proven underwriting and execution of commercial real estate transactions.
• Strong understanding of debt financing and joint venture structures.
• Ability to lead transactions from origination through closing.
• Experience presenting recommendations to investment committees.

Responsibilities

• Investment Sourcing & Origination: Identify and evaluate opportunities; build relationships; originate off-market deals.
• Underwriting & Investment Analysis: Lead underwriting and valuation analyses; challenge financial models.
• Transaction Execution: Oversee due diligence; structure and negotiate agreements and documents.
• Portfolio & Asset Management: Monitor performance; develop and execute business plans.
• Investment Committee & Strategic Leadership: Prepare memos; present opportunities to committees; contribute to strategy.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor associates; review materials; foster high-performance culture.
